A vulnerability is actually a flaw or weakness within a system's style, implementation, or operation and management that could be exploited to violate the system's security policy. A threat is a prospective attack that, by exploiting a vulnerability, may perhaps harm the assets owned by an application (sources of value, like the data within a database or inside the file method). A test is an action that tends to show a vulnerability within the application.
