I live in a rural part of Iowa. Here in the small towns each spring we have what we call junk days. This is were everyone in town throws out the junk they do not want. It is a hayday for scrappers but they must wait until the week is over to pick up what they want, of course most dont including myself but I use alot of what I take and only scrap stuff I know doesn't work. There will be fridges,lamps, and other goodies. I personally take what I can use on my farm like buckets and rope. My wife loves going out and finding stuff with me.
